    Momentum’s services help a wide range of people, including those with a brain injury, spinal injury, mental health difficulty, physical or learning disability, in the areas of employment and training, job retention and community rehabilitation. The organisation also provides social care and supported living services to people in their own homes.

    Momentum consists of Momentum Skills, Momentum Care, Haven and Haven Recycle.

    Momentum Care provides personalised support services in Scotland and England. We provide high-quality, reliable, tailored services to people with a wide range of support needs.

    Momentum Care is registered and inspected by Care Quality Commission in England and the Care Inspectorate in Scotland.

     

  • What support does Momentum Care provide?

    Our team of experienced and friendly staff support people in their own localities, enabling people to live independently and safely in their own homes and to take part in community activities. In addition to providing support with daily living tasks, Momentum Care also provides respite/short breaks.

  • How can Haven enhance my business?

    Haven can enhance your business by offering cost-effective solutions for all types of packaging requirements from stock management and fulfilment, to assembly and despatch, as well as supporting your CSR credentials through the employment of disabled and disadvantaged adults.

    Haven will engage with you to gain an understanding of what you and your business are trying to achieve. We can assist with the development of a particular project you may have from an envelope needing printed to a container of materials needing inspected.

    It is our aim to provide a service which will combine cost effectiveness with a professional approach.

  • Will Haven Recyle collect our unwanted electrical and IT equipment?

    Yes - Haven Recycle can collect from anywhere in Scotland using our secure vehicle which is fitted with a GPS tracker.

  • What is Haven's view on the environment?

    The staff at Haven are all fully trained on " Zero Waste" which means all staff at Haven are committed to ensuring we dispose of any waste in the correct manner this is evident with our recent  ISO 14001 standard achievement.

    We have regular communications meetings with our staff where we discuss any changes we can make which will have an impact on the environment, and improve our processes within Haven.

  • Haven is a social enterprise, so what exactly is a social enterprise?

    The Government defines social enterprises as “businesses with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners.”

    As with all businesses, they compete to deliver goods and services. The difference is that social and environmental purposes are at the very heart of what they do, and the profits they make are reinvested towards achieving those purposes.

    Whatever they do, they do it differently from typical business, because they are driven by a social and environmental mission, and they are focused on the community they serve.

    Social enterprises are businesses that trade to tackle social problems, improve communities, people’s life chances, or the environment.

    They make their money from selling goods and services in the open market, but they reinvest their profits back into the business or the local community. And so when they profit, society profits.

    Social enterprises do not make profits for shareholders (because they don't have any) or exist to make their owners very wealthy.
